Our very own Danielle Howard, CFP® recently traveled to Alaska in search of the Aurora Borealis. When asked about the experience, she shared:
Whether it was sitting by a stream surrounded by Monarch Butterflies in Michoacán Mexico or more recently traveling to Alaska watching the night sky for the Aurora Borealis, connecting with nature clears my head and fills my soul. This work-life integration is an important part of showing up fully for my clients. There are so many life lessons that can’t be learned sitting at a desk or taught from a webinar.
Both magical trips, while planned, could not have been “orchestrated”. I am learning to let go of expectations. So it is with our work with clients, we can help them plan, be their thinking partners, utilize their resources wisely, but what plays out in life will be. My spending time in nature avails me the opportunity to be still, be present, listen, watch and let life show up in its’ splendor.
