January MQ Partner Open Forum

This webinar is open to:  MQ Partners ONLY!

We are taking a deep dive into the 5-E Process!  For our first 5 MQ Open Forum webinars in 2018, we are going to spend an entire session focused on the specifics of each stage of the 5-E process and how people are sequencing tools, using MQ resources, and conducting their client meeting process.

Our January MQ Partner Open Forum will focus on two aspects of the Explore stage, with the prospect and with on-going clients through their annual review. Our guest MQ Partner will be Tanya Steinhofer, CFP®, principal at Redwood Grove Wealth Management.

Tanya is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with over 15 years of diverse investment industry experience, including expertise in real assets (e.g., real estate, commodities) and sustainable/socially responsible investing (SRI). She is passionate about helping women and families with young children with their finances.

Her prior experience includes several years as a Senior Research Analyst and Investment Advisor at a local independent wealth management firm. She began her investment career as an equity research analyst covering real estate investment trusts (REITs), first on the sell-side for Goldman Sachs in New York and then on the buy-side for a dedicated REIT money manager.

In addition to her professional experience, she is an active non-profit volunteer, with an emphasis on financial literacy for non-profits such as Junior Achievement.  She serves on the advisory board of the Bay Area Financial Education Foundation, whose mission is to improve the financial literacy of Bay Area youth. She is a Past President of the Financial Planning Association of San Francisco and a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.  In recognition of her contributions to the profession and community, she was awarded the 2017 Heart of Financial Planning by the Financial Planning Association. Her education includes both a BA and an MBA from UC Berkeley. Her passions outside of work and family include running, cycling, skiing, gardening and traveling.

Are you curious about how other advisors are using the MQ materials? Ever wish you could ask another Partner about their fee structure? Want to be able to bounce an idea off your like-minded colleagues?

Our “MQ Partner Open Forum” webinar series allows you to do all of this and more! These sessions offer the opportunity to tap into the depth of wisdom and breadth of experience within our MQ Community. In addition, members of the the MQ Team are on hand to provide feedback and offer guidance.

Each webinar begins with a brief presentation featuring a helpful tip, strategy or resource, as well as thoughts on the topic from a fellow Partner. The remainder of the session is open for discussion on any topic, and shaped by your interests, questions, and experiences.

Next, we want to hear from YOU! We encourage you to ask questions, toss around ideas, and share your experiences. We are open to any and all discussion topics, but here are some ideas:

  • What are best practices for introducing the FLP process to new and existing clients?
  • How can I create workshops using the MQ tools?
  • What challenges have other advisors experienced when using the tools with couples?
  • How do I involve my staff members in learning about the MQ process so they are best equipped to assist our clients?
  • How do I communicate the value of the FLP process to potential clients?
  • How are other advisors integrating MQ materials into ongoing meetings with established clients?

If you would like to make sure that a particular topic receives special attention during the session, please feel free to email Amy or Kelly prior to the webinar.

The MQ Team will verify your partnership before we process your registration.  Once that has happened, you will receive a confirmation and link from My Webinar.
